TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - October 31, 2013) - Scotiabank today announced that HollisWealth will officially replace DundeeWealth as the brand name for one of Canada's largest independent financial advisor networks effective November 1, 2013.
"This is an exciting and significant time for us at HollisWealth," said Tuula Jalasjaa, Managing Director and Head of the HollisWealth retail advisor network. "For the first time, our independent advisory network will enjoy a unique position in the marketplace with a distinct identity and a strong, visible brand that's backed by Canada's most international bank."
First announced in June, the HollisWealth rebranding is marked by a new industry-leading, multi-dimensional website which will launch on November 1st
and serve as a valuable resource for advisors and their clients at www.holliswealth.com. Additionally, to celebrate its new identity, HollisWealth will host a national speaker series, Living Longer, Living Better: Planning for Longevity in Canada, featuring pre-eminent author and expert on long term planning in Canada, Patty Randall.
"These seminars highlight our commitment to putting clients at the centre of the financial planning process -- a process that's holistic and tailored to each client's needs," added Ms. Jalasjaa. The speaker series focuses on the need for all Canadians to integrate long-term care into their financial plans. Open to advisors, clients and the general public, the seminars will be held in five Canadian cities this fall: Calgary, on November 6; Vancouver, November 7; Halifax, November 21; Oakville, November 26; and Ottawa, December 5.
"Thanks to the commitment and efforts of our more than 900 independent advisors across the country, this rebrand has been a great success," said Ms. Jalasjaa. "It's important to note that the only thing that has changed with our HollisWealth rebranding is our name -- our entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to superior client service are stronger than ever. We look forward to continuing to deliver holistic financial planning and advice to our clients under the new HollisWealth banner."
HollisWealth Advisor Network
The HollisWealth advisor network was acquired by Scotiabank on February 1, 2011. At that time, Scotiabank and Dundee Corporation entered into several agreements regarding the trademarks used by the businesses. One of these agreements licensed the use of the DundeeWealth trademark to Scotiabank for three years. This license expires on February 1, 2014. The trademark previously used by the business is being replaced with the HollisWealth brand.
HollisWealth is a trademark of The Bank of Nova Scotia and will be used by the HollisWealth advisor network that is part of the Bank's Global Wealth & Insurance division. As one of Canada's premier independent financial advisor networks, HollisWealth provides diversified investment and wealth management services to individuals, families, corporations and foundations. HollisWealth supports innovative wealth management through a network of independent advisors who operate under the HollisWealth brand. This financial advisory network consists of approximately 900 advisors of multiple regulated entities who reside in over 400 locations across Canada.
