Hollund Industrial, Inc. Announces Major Acquisition

BRANSON, MO--(Marketwire - February 19, 2008) - Hollund Industrial, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: HLLD) announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Hollund Industrial Robotics Systems Inc., a Canadian corporation with exclusive patents to the Underwater Remote Manipulator System (URMS) known as TigerLynk.

"The acquisition is obviously a major milestone for our company. It enables us to move forward on the development and production of an innovative line of heavy machinery for underwater construction, forestry, mining and flood emergency response services. We now enter an exciting stage of rapid technology development utilizing the full expertise and resources of our company," stated Hollund President and CEO Michael Lacy.

TigerLynk is a remote-operated machine system designed to work underwater. You command all functions from the surface on a vessel or platform. Mounted is a machine component called a Manipulator. The Manipulator works like a giant robotic arm extending below the surface of the water. Attached to the end of the Manipulator is a specialized Tool. Different Tools can be attached to perform precision cutting, drilling, welding and other services. TigerLynk machines are designed to fully manipulate objects weighing up to 2 3/4 tons inside a stationary work envelope roughly equal to 1/3 the size of a NFL football field. An integrated underwater vision system effectively clears the field of view so that you can maneuver and operate safely.

"We are very proud to add TigerLynk Technology to our Company as we begin to launch our development, production and service operations," stated Hollund Vice President Claus Wagner-Bartak. Dr. Bartak pioneered and coordinated the research and development of the Shuttle Remote Manipulator System (SRMS), also known as the Canada Arm. The Canada Arm is the remote operated robotic arm that has been used on NASA Space Shuttle and Space Station missions since 1981. Dr. Bartak noted, "TigerLynk has the potential to redefine the marine industry, much like the Canada Arm did in space by providing a large-scale remote operating capability with versatile applications for hostile environments."
