Celebrating Miami Green -- Miami's First LEED High Rise Office Building

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - May 8, 2008) - The Miami Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) will honor Holly Real Estate/TCN Worldwide with a President's Award at an upcoming meeting on May 13th, at the site of the company's Miami Green office condominium development.

The award recognizes Holly Real Estate's leadership and efforts on behalf of architecture in developing Miami Green. The event provides an opportunity for AIA members and others to learn about Miami Green and the innovators behind Miami's first LEED certified green office building.

"The American Institute of Architects has long recognized the efforts of individuals and organizations who contribute to our built environment. Today, we recognize William H. Holly and Holly Real Estate for their contribution," said Lilian Chiu, Founder, Morgan Environments, and Board Member of the American Institute of Architects Miami Chapter. "Miami Green is a fascinating project, a milestone in the history of South Florida's built environment. The AIA is incredibly proud of the path this project has cleared for sustainable design and our community. Holly Real Estate has forged new ground in just five short years since its founding. We are proud to recognize its vision and accomplishments."

"It is an honor to receive this award. We were in uncharted territory when we began developing Miami Green, and are very proud of the success we've experienced with the project," said William H. Holly, Founder and CEO of Holly Real Estate/TCN Worldwide. "We are pleased that the architectural community is behind the green building movement, and that others have recognized the importance of green building and are following suit."

In addition to Holly Real Estate/TCN Worldwide, Miami Green's architect, Behar + Font, will receive an award for its striking design of the state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly building. Its general contractor, Arellano Construction, will also receive an award for its contribution to the project's success.

Miami Green is a 13-story, 120,000 square foot, Class A office building with approximately 8,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. The green glass building features an L-shaped design that affords a high window to office ratio and floor-to-ceiling glass. The offices offer 12-foot ceilings and column free-space flooded with natural light which make the work environment appealing and healthful.

Holly Real Estate/TCN Worldwide will top-off the building in the summer months, and completion is slated for December 2008.
