Hollywood Production Center Announces Success of Two HPC Tenants

PlayStation Premieres Powers Cast by Mele Nagler; Puddle Monkey Productions Sister Wives Renewed for Sixth Season

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 10, 2015) - The folks at Hollywood Production Center take considerable pride in the range of creativity and artistry exhibited by our clients and tenants. Hollywood Production Center is proud of the works of Puddle Monkey Productions and Mele Nagler casting, tenants of Hollywood Production Center's Glendale locations.

Powers premiere
Glendale Hollywood Production Center 2, located at 121 West Lexington Drive, is excited to tune into the March 10 premiere of the PlayStation original series, Powers. Coming from the same studio that brought you Breaking Bad, Powers is an eagerly anticipated dramatic series that follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as "powers." The premise of Powers is this question: "What if the world was full of superheroes who aren't actually heroic at all?" What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals? Enter the men and women of the Powers Division, the brave people in charge of protecting humans, and keeping the peace over commercialized, god-like men and women, who glide through the sky imposing their power over the mortals who both worship and fear them. The series was cast by HPC tenant Mele Nagler, whose former credits include Gossip Girl, Brotherhood, and Love and Other Drugs.

Sister Wives season finale

Sister Wives, the hugely popular series about a polygamist family whose patriarch is husband to four wives, and the father of seventeen children, aired its fifth season finale, March 1, on TLC. Sister Wives is the work of Puddle Monkey Productions, a long-time tenant of Glendale Hollywood Production Center 3. In the final episode, Meri decides to end her 24-year marriage to Kody so that her sister, Robyn, can be legally bound to their shared husband. Robyn was blessed with three kids from her previous marriage, and the entire Brown family wants those kids to be adopted by Kody. The only way the adoption can be possible is if Robyn and Kody legally wed.

Clearly, Puddle Monkey Production has successfully tapped into the U.S. fascination with all things polygamist. Sister Wives has been renewed by TLC for its sixth season, which will premiere in fall 2015.
