ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - March 24, 2008) - A shareholder class action lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California against Charles Schwab Corporation ("Charles Schwab" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: SCHW) and various individuals on behalf of purchasers of Schwab YieldPlus Funds Investor Shares (NASDAQ: SWYSX) and Schwab YieldPlus Funds Select Shares (NASDAQ: SWYPX) (the "Funds") who purchased the Funds between March 17, 2005 and March 18, 2008 (the "Relevant Period").

The lawsuit alleges the Company issued false and misleading statements to the public which overstated the level of diversification in the Funds and understated the actual risk relating to sub-prime mortgage backed and related securities.
