Home, Cabins, 70 Acres Bordering Wenaha Wilderness to Sell at Auction

TROY, OR--(Marketwire - August 26, 2009) - A 70-acre estate with a home and two cabins bordering the Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness will sell at auction Tuesday, Sept. 29, with Albert Burney Auction Company managing the sale.

The property -- which has miles of trails and healthy populations of elk, deer, bear, cougar, big horn sheep and moose -- is located in the Blue Mountains of Garfield County in southeast Washington. The three-story main house, which has an observation tower with 360-degree views, is surrounded by automatically irrigated food plots.

"This is an incredible area for hunting and fishing, and it's practically an everyday occurrence to see big game such as mule deer, whitetail deer and elk throughout the year," said Warren Ward, president of Albert Burney Auction.

The main house has an open floor plan with three bedrooms, two baths and a recreation room.

The property will sell in two tracts -- the main house on 30 acres and the remaining 40 acres with the cabins and a bath house. "It may very well be that we have one buyer purchase the main house while another purchases the 40 acres with the cabins. Both tracts adjoin the 177,000-acre Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness," said Ward.

The auction will be held at the property at 1 p.m. Albert Burney representatives will be available to guide inspections from Sept. 17-29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Individuals interested in additional information about the sale may contact Albert Burney at 256-543-1654 or visit the company's web site at
