Home Instead Senior Care Seminar Will Focus on Alzheimer's Disease Awareness and Management

San Francisco Event Will Target Caregivers, Health-Care Providers

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - March 2, 2010) -  Approximately 4.5 million Americans live with Alzheimer's, and by 2050 the disease could affect anywhere from 11 to 16 million people. To shed more light on this serious subject, Home Instead Senior Care will hold a "Changing the World of Alzheimer's" day-long seminar with a top expert in the field on Wednesday, March 24 in San Francisco.

Teepa Snow, a renowned authority on dementia care and education, will provide caregivers, health-care providers and other interested persons with guidance about symptoms, progression and support for Alzheimer's, as well as approaches to dealing with disease-related behavior. Snow, a certified occupational therapist, trains and consults health-care professionals and families.
