Homeland Security Group International Attends AFCEA West Military Equipment Expo

Displays and Discusses Products on Live Television News Program

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 5, 2007 -- Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers USMC (Ret), CEO of Homeland Security Group International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: HMSG) announced today that the company participated in the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) military product exposition and demonstration on January 30, 2007. Colonel Powers appeared live on KUSI Television's "Good Morning San Diego" program along with the president of ACEA to kick off the conference and demonstration.

At the exposition, HMSG showcased the ballistic capabilities of their new, lightweight ballistic Small Arms Protective Insert (SAPI) plates. and the EBD-1 Emergency Breathing Device.

The company met with representatives of leading technology manufacturers and discussed the threat to US and Coalition Forces posed by Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Iraq and Afghanistan. HMSG explained their technology aimed at defeating detonators on these devices.

HMSG also met with representatives from Survival Systems USA and briefed them on the nomenclature and characteristics of the Neptune EBD-1. Survival Systems USA has agreed to perform a series of live tests on the device and document findings.
