Homes, Home Sites in Greenville and Spartanburg to Sell at Auction

GREENVILLE, SC--(Marketwire - October 19, 2010) -  Forty-three houses and four vacant home sites in the Greenville and Spartanburg areas will sell at auction Tuesday, Nov. 9, with John Dixon & Associates managing the sale. Seven of the homes will sell at absolute auction, with no minimum or reserve bid.

The properties will be part of a sale by four different owners, according to Joe Tarpley, who is managing the sale for the auction company.

"Most of these are homes that have been used as rental properties, some owned by investors outside the area. The sellers are now seeking to reduce their holdings and free capital to pursue other interests," said Tarpley. None of the properties is in bankruptcy or has been foreclosed, and all will be conveyed with clear titles and no debt, he added.

"Many of these are ideal for those seeking to build or expand a portfolio of real estate investments, and many are excellent starter homes as well," he said.

The properties in the Greenville area are concentrated around the City View area to the east and the Judson area to the southeast. The Spartanburg properties are concentrated in the northeastern and southern parts of the city.

The live auction will begin at 2 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel off Exit 54 (Pelham Road) in Greenville. Online bidding will be available. Individuals seeking additional information may call 800-479-1763 or visit
