Homeward Trust Wears Blue and Orange to Support the Capitals

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - July 7, 2010) - Blue and orange are the colours of the Edmonton Capitals, but at the July 7th home game, they will have another meaning too. Homeward Trust Edmonton is hosting a recognition night for its volunteers and supporters. Volunteers are being encouraged to wear their blue or orange shirts from the recent Homeless Connect event, where over 400 volunteers helped out for the day.

Homeward Trust Edmonton invites all interested media to attend this event. Section H at Telus Field, where our volunteers and supporters will be sitting, will provide a great visual.

Date: Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Time: 7:05pm

Location: Telus Field (10223 - 96 Ave, Edmonton, AB), for Edmonton Capitals vs. Tijuana Cimaronnes

"The Edmonton Capitals organization contributes a lot to the community, especially in supporting non-profit organizations, and we are proud to partner with them" said Susan McGee, Executive Director of Homeward Trust. "There is progress being made in ending homelessness, and we are pleased to work with the Capitals to recognize the important contributions of our volunteers and supporters".

Homeward Trust Edmonton is a not for profit organization that uses a community-based approach toward the goal of ending homelessness in Edmonton. Our primary role is to coordinate response to housing needs by working together with local agencies and all orders of government
