Despite light rain, the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg kicked-off construction of its 1.8 mile, 14-turn waterfront circuit today (Thursday, February 10, 2011). Tim Ramsberger, Vice President and General Manager (left); Kim Green, CEO and Co-Owner; and Jim Tario, Director of Operations, from the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg joined a construction crew to lay down the first blocks of the famous street course. The event marked the beginning of a 41-day construction process that will see more than 20 million pounds of concrete laid down along the streets of downtown St. Petersburg. The "World's Fastest Spring Break Party" returns March 25-27, 2011.
