Honey Bee Manufacturing and Monsanto BioAg a Winning Combination for Milk River, AB Farmer

MILK RIVER, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - July 13, 2016) - Trudy Niggli of Niggli Farms in Milk River, AB can't wait to get her new Honey Bee AirFLEX® draper header out in the field after winning a one-year lease in a contest co-sponsored by Monsanto BioAg and Honey Bee Manufacturing.

"We've run Honey Bee headers on our Case® combines for about 20 years now and have been very happy with them," said Niggli.

"Winning the opportunity to run the latest model this fall was perfect timing for us. We're currently on our third straight cut header and have been considering updating to a newer one," said Tom Niggli. "We use RoundUp Transorb for preburn and chem fallow. TagTeam inoculant has also been used on our peas for two years and we are looking forward to trying out the latest draper header in the field this fall."

Jamie Pegg, Honey Bee Manufacturing general manager said it was a natural fit to offer a lease on the AirFLEX for the contest.

"Monsanto BioAg's products help pulse growers grow more yield and the AirFLEX helps them get it all in the bin," said Pegg.

"We have leading edge inoculants and wanted to give our customers a chance to win leading edge harvesting technology," said Darrell Wolkowski, Canadian Sales Lead for Monsanto BioAg.

The contest ran December 1, 2015 to March 17, 2016, and customers were invited to enter to win online or at tradeshows across western Canada. Honey Bee Manufacturing and Monsanto BioAg are planning to team up again in 2016-17 to offer another exciting contest. Look for them at tradeshows across Western Canada this upcoming season for a chance to win.
