Honouring New Cinema in Montreal for the 45th Time

The Government of Canada supports the Festival du nouveau cinema


MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Sept. 27, 2016) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, today announced $20,000 in funding for the 45th Festival du nouveau cinéma, which will take place from October 5 to 16, 2016 at various locations in Montréal.

The festival will use this funding, which was provided by the Government of Canada through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund, for its two new interactive audiovisual performance components, Événements and FNC eXPlore.

  • The mission of the Festival du nouveau cinéma is to support and present important local and international films to raise their profile in Quebec and the world.
