HootSuite adds to the rapid global growth of their social media dashboard by releasing a translated version for Brazilian Portuguese. The update is available immediately to all HootSuite users on the flagship web version, plus mobile versions for iPhone/iPad, Android and BlackBerry devices. Additionally, HootSuite announces an app integration with popular social network Orkut which serves over 34.3 million users monthly in Brazil according to comScore. The free app will be released in the coming weeks and allow users to update Orkut alongside Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other integrated social networks.
The announcement is demonstrative of HootSuite's commitment to international growth with over 12 languages currently available. Overall, HootSuite serves over 3.3 million users including large brands, government agencies, small business, and social media enthusiasts. High-profile customers in Brazil include: MTV Brazil, Rede TV, Terra Networks Brasil, Info Magazine, Exame Magazine, Jornal O Globo and O Estado de S. Paulo (Estadão).
Along with the translation and network integration, HootSuite is reaching out to the Brazil community via a Twitter channel @HootSuite_BR and the Orkut community, plus hosting user-organized "HootUps" events, and sharing specially-designed Brazilian versions of the popular Owly mascot to celebrate Brazil's love of football/soccer and Carnival.
