Horizon Media Appoints Jake Phillips as Senior Vice President, Managing Director

Former PHD Executive Tapped to Lead Agency Team Serving Financial Services Client

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - October 30, 2014) - Horizon Media, the largest and fastest growing privately held media services agency in the world, announced today that it has hired Jake Phillips as SVP, Managing Director. Phillips is charged with overseeing and leading activities for the agency's financial services client. He will report to Rich Simms, Executive Vice President and Managing Partner at Horizon Media.

Phillips has an impressive portfolio and over 17 years of experience with managing large and complex assignments across varied industries. He joins Horizon from PHD, where he was U.S. Account Director and Global Business Director, managing the agency's global Google business.

Prior to working at PHD, Jake spent five years leading media planning and strategy for the snacks brands for Kraft Food including Oreos, Chips Ahoy!, Ritz and Planters. Previously Phillips held positions at PHD as Vice President and Group Media Director; and as an Account Director at MPG.

Phillips was named a Rising Star by Mediapost in 2004, and his work for brands has accrued awards that include a Cannes Grand Prix Media Lion, a Jack Myers Media Innovation and Creativity Award, and Mediaweek's Media Plan of the Year. Phillips graduated from the State University of New York at Albany in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics.
