Horizon Media Launches Its Propel Program, Mentoring Future Media Leaders

Program a Next Generation Initiative for Rapid Development of Agency's High Potential Employees

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - March 05, 2014) - Horizon Media, one of the fastest growing media services agencies in the world, is thrilled to announce the launch of its next generation rotational media development platform, Propel. The two-year program is designed to mentor high potential employees and will provide participants with valuable exposure across all aspects of the media business, foster a broader range of skills and interests, and also provide them with the opportunity to shadow and learn from senior industry leaders.

"The Propel program gives our high potential employees access to a uniquely challenging environment with room to explore and grow," said Eileen Benwitt, Chief Talent Officer at Horizon Media. "Ultimately the benefits are rapid development, increased involvement, loyalty, and a motivated and talented staff. Our hope is that the program grows each year as we strive to make enhanced development the cornerstone of what attracts and retains the industry's top talent."

The Propel program provides an in-depth, 360 degree experiential journey geared towards more quickly developing entry-level employees under the guidance of a mentor. Participants will partake in a series of experiential assignments that are four to six months in length across multiple disciplines within the agency to acquire new skills and knowledge, all while developing professional relationships and leadership skills. Participants will have the unique opportunity to shadow high profile industry leaders as well as senior executives at Horizon Media, and the agency's CEO, President and Founder, Bill Koenigsberg. Upon completion of the program, employees will be propelled into high performance positions within the agency that are closely aligned with their skills and professional interests.

A recent International Journal of Science and Research (IJSR) study cites the paramount importance of employee training programs. While many companies regard training and fostering the growth of their employees as an optional practice, the IJSR states that focusing extra effort on training employees leads to improved morale of employees, the need for less supervision in the future, fewer accidents, greater chances of promotion, and increased productivity.
