Horizon Media and MyersBizNet Launch First-Ever Media and Advertising Intern Reception

Industry-First Event Unites More Than 300 Interns Across Media Industry

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - August 07, 2014) - Horizon Media, the largest and fastest growing privately-held media services agency, hosted the advertising industry's first intern reception last night at its New York headquarters. The Media and Advertising Intern Reception was created in partnership with MyersBizNet, a community of more than 200 corporate members. The event gathered more than 300 summer interns from across various media agencies, creative agencies, television networks, media sales and other ad industry workplaces.

"We want to roll out the red carpet for the leaders of tomorrow, and to give young talent the chance to network with peers and seasoned executives early in their careers."

In addition to the industry's rising talent, executives from LinkedIn, Own the Room, The Sales Athlete, as well as noted industry leader, Geraldine Laybourne, attended the event and hosted break-out sessions. Opening remarks were delivered by Bill Koenigsberg, President, Founder and CEO of Horizon Media, and Jack Myers, Chairman of MyersBizNet.

Horizon and MyersBizNet plan to make the Media and Advertising Intern Reception an annual event and to welcome back this year's class for the first five years of their careers.
