Horizon Media and WestwoodOne Join Forces for Customized Brand Activations During Super Bowl Week

Agency Sponsors Customized Football Fan Machines and Collaborates on Special Events Around New York and New Jersey

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - January 30, 2014) - Horizon Media, the fastest growing privately-owned media services agency in the world, has joined forces with WestwoodOne, the official network radio partner for the National Football League and exclusive national radio home of Super Bowl XLVIII, to deliver "7 Days to Sunday" events across New York City and beyond. This series of events will be showcased by two studio buses, sponsored by Horizon Media, which will hit the streets of the city and parts of New Jersey from Monday, January 27 to Sunday, February 2. The "Football Fan Machines" will connect listeners and fans to NFL personalities, customized audio content, and brand and social media activations tied to The Big Game. 

The vehicles include a wrapped, luxury touring bus with a VIP lounge that will make stops around town. WestwoodOne street teams will be distributing branded promotional items to bus spectators. In addition, a glass walled mobile studio -- featured in the Maroon 5 video, Never Gonna Leave This Bed, and branded with sponsor logos -- will be traveling with the VIP lounge and will allow bystanders to see the radio studio.

Former NFL MVP and Pro Bowl quarterback Boomer Esiason will record his "Super Bowl Preview" show from Horizon Media's New York headquarters on Wednesday, January 29. Hall of Famers James Lofton and Rod Woodson, Super Bowl winning coach Brian Billick and former Giant and two-time Super Bowl champion punter Sean Landeta will join Boomer and co-host Scott Graham at Horizon Media. The Horizon Media program will air locally on WFAN Sports Radio 66 AM and hundreds of stations across the country as part of WestwoodOne's game day coverage of Super Bowl XLVIII.

Additionally, NBC Sports Radio will produce live sports talk programming from remote locations in and around New York and New Jersey during the "7 Days to Sunday." The shows will feature bus reports from Sports Illustrated writer and NBC Sports Radio host Chris Mannix, along with entertainment reporter Zach Sang, host of the popular Zach Sang and the Gang radio show, Amani & Eytan, Under Center with Donovan McNabb and others.
