Hotel Arts Barcelona Rolls Out the Red Carpet to Welcome 2014

BARCELONA, SPAIN--(Marketwired - Nov 5, 2013) - Hotel Arts Barcelona invites travelers to capture a sense of place in a memorable Spanish holiday combining gastronomy, relaxation and style to welcome 2014, a year that will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the iconic Barcelona luxury hotel.

One of the most vibrant destinations on the Mediterranean, Barcelona will highlight the holidays with a range of activities and festivities, including the renowned Santa Lucia Market offering traditional Spanish Christmas favorites, along with ice-skating at the city's main Plaza Catalunya rink, conveniently located between La Rambla and Barcelona's chic shopping haven, Passeig de Gracia.

Hotel Arts Barcelona's splendid annual Christmas decoration with be unveiled, featuring Donna Stain's notable floral designs and arrangements that will turn the lobby and entire property into a unsurpassed festive destination in itself.

Epicureans will enjoy an exquisite cuisine throughout the holidays, with menus featuring delicious culinary traditions revisited by Hotel Arts' chefs, ranging from a Fricandeau of scallops or a rack of lamb at Paco Pérez' two-Michelin starred Enoteca restaurant to a Traditional Catalan stew or a Waffle of truffled potato and cannelloni by chef Sergi Arola's tapas restaurant Arola.

As a highlight this holiday season, Hotel Arts will roll out the red carpet to welcome in 2014 with an awards-themed New Year's Eve gala dinner that will take place in the sumptuous Gran Salon Gaudí, celebrating guests and visitors who have made the Arts an icon for the past 20 years. The New Year festivities will feature a red carpet, professional photography, and a themed dinner menu including an ice bar with local favorites such as oysters, lobster, and caviar. Hotel Arts guests will celebrate the New Year in traditional Spanish style with the symbolic 12 grapes ceremony at each stroke of midnight.

A select few will also celebrate the most awaited night of the year with an exclusive menu by Chef Paco Pérez taking place on the hotel's 41st floor, to enjoy sweeping views of the city and the sea throughout the evening. Exclusive Champagnes and wines will be served for this special occasion, including Clos d'Agon 2003, Ribera del Duero, an emblematic wine from Catalonia by the famed winemaker Peter Sisseck.

Those seeking to unwind from the holiday stress will find respite at Six Senses Spa, the Arts' 42nd and 43rd floor spa overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The holiday signature Santa Claus treatment includes a chai tea honey scrub, followed by a warm green clay cocoon integrated with seasonal scents of cinnamon and orange, finishing off with a mini facial and hydrating lotion treatment.

A special New Year's Eve package is introduced to highlight this special occasion and includes a welcome glass of cava, the local sparkling wine, access for two to the Awards-themed gala dinner, followed by New Year's Day breakfast at Cafe Veranda and a late check-out.
