Hotel in Ahmedabad Launches Its Swanky New Coffee Bar JAVA+

Courtyard Ahmedabad Is the First to Bring the Upscale Cafe to India

AHMEDABAD, INDIA--(Marketwired - Feb 14, 2014) - The city's most premier hotel, Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad announced the launch of its swanky new coffee bar called Java+ on January 31st.

A brand of upscale cafes that currently operate in hotels run by Marriott International in Singapore, Manila in Philippines and Suzhou in China, Java+ now launches for the first time in India in the vibrant city of Ahmedabad.

The first of its kind in the city, Java+ is more than just a regular coffee and tea joint; it takes the experience of caffeinated beverages to a whole new level. The expansive beverage menu offers the regular favourites as well as single origin coffees from Colombia, Java and Ethiopia. Also on offer is an eclectic collection of teas from China, Japan and the estates of Assam and Darjeeling. Following a quick service concept, Java+ also offers a range of grab-and-go food options that are suitably adapted to the time of the day. The menu includes the unconventional with the 'Maggie burger' and cronuts while also specializing in baked and cold cheesecakes, grilled pancake rolls, cronuts and macaroons. Those who wish to go light on calories can take their pick from a variety of fresh juices, smoothies, salads and sugar free desserts and chocolates.

Java+ stands out not only for its menu but also the design that has been conceived by iKsoi design studio, an architecture practice based out of Ahmedabad. It fits perfectly into this luxury hotel in Ahmedabad. Salient features of the design include the use of COR-TEN steel, vintage dark wood furniture by the designer Michael Thonet and a free flowing wall carving depicting the cultural nuances of the city of Ahmedabad. An open to sky courtyard with a vertical garden adds a verdant touch to the coffee bar and also lends itself as a much desired designated smoking area. All the elements of the design blend themselves to create an aura of a rustic European café.

Java+ plays into the pun true to its name and doubles up as a space for the technologically savvy with complimentary WiFi, thereby encouraging constant engagement and collaboration. The retail options at the coffee bar also extend to include premium Sri Lankan teas by Dilmah, high end cigars and super premium ice creams by Häagen Dazs.

Though nestled in the lobby of the 4 star hotel in Ahmedabad, Java+ has an equal appeal for bike aficionados with a designated parking space for two wheelers. It has also created an exclusive HOG spot (Harley Owner's Group) in the city in association with Harley Davidson motorcycles India.

Java+ launched on the afternoon of January 31st with an exclusive gathering that featured an upbeat performance by an international band. Located in the lobby of the Ahmedabad business hotel, the coffee bar shall be operational 24X7.
