Hotel in Kuala Lumpur Marks Start of Summer With Global Day of Discovery

Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel Hosts Exclusive Event With DJ Geri

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA--(Marketwired - Jul 11, 2013) - Guests at Renaissance hotels around the world are encouraged to "Live Life to Discover," but the brand does more than simply say the words -- it puts them into action. On 19th of June, 155 Renaissance hotels around the globe, including the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel, participated in the second-annual Global Day of Discovery, bringing the best of the hotel and the surrounding area to guests and locals alike.

On the Global Day of Discovery at this KL city hotel, DJ Geri entertained crowds with a blend of house, electro and dance music. Executive Andrea Conte and his team prepared samplings of signature dishes including panini made with slowly cooked short ribs and cheddar, Thai grilled chicken and green papaya, tandoori prawns and mascarpone raita, and grilled eggplant with feta cheese. Other offerings included Peking duck, lobster and dim sum.

The event at this Golden Triangle hotel and others around the world was the kickoff to Renaissance's Summer of Discovery, a season-long program that urges guests to leave their rooms and discover something new through a calendar of exciting events, from onsite happenings organized by staff to offsite discoveries curated by hotel Navigators. Events take place around the world through September, and travelers can keep up with the latest offerings on www.renhotels.com.
