Hotel in Midtown Moscow Joins "The Global Party" to Benefit Orphans

Guests Enjoy a Day of Performances, Workshops and Cuisine at the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre Hotel

MOSCOW, RUSSIA--(Marketwired - Oct 15, 2014) - Everyone loves a good party, especially when it's for an equally good cause. That's one reason why the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre Hotel's celebration on 27 September 2014 was such a success. As part of The Global Party, an international movement inspiring philanthropic events around the world during September, the event benefitted the charitable organisation, To Children with Love. So as guests watched ballet performances, savored a sumptuous buffet and joined in workshops, they also felt good knowing that their participation directly benefited the lives of countless children across Russia.

The partnership between the Monarch Centre Hotel in Moscow and To Children with Love is close to the hotel staff's heart. The property has repeatedly sponsored creative events benefiting the organisation, which provides educational and care-driven programming for orphaned Russian children.

The Global Party event saw more than 100 children and adults -- including children from two Moscow orphanages -- arriving at the hotel for four hours of entertainment, food and crafts. General Manager Armin Eberhard and Director of Operations Costas Gavriel personally welcomed guests as they arrived. After a welcome cocktail and introductions, attendees watched a short animated film, "Anya," which was based on the story of one orphan helped by To Children with Love.

Offering nearly 27,000 square feet of event space among Moscow hotels near Downtown, the property was well-suited to the day's entertainment. Styled like a talent show, the performances included vignettes by ballerinas from the Odintsovo Art School and songs performed by a vocal group and a duet from local orphanages. The dancers performed classical ballets like "Don Quixote" and "Coppélia" as well as livelier numbers like the samba.

After the dancing and singing, guests indulged in a lavish buffet created by the hotel's French chef. The savories and sweets served as ideal fuel for guests participating in the final segment of the event: master classes. Workshops on card-making, pictures and, courtesy of professional dancers, disco dancing delighted everyone.

Visitors concluded their visit to these accommodations in Moscow, Russia by making donations for To Children with Love and awaiting the results of several raffles. Prizes included gift certificates to Marriott properties throughout Europe and tickets to football matches.

With a good time had by all and funds generously raised for the charity, this event just goes to show that sometimes everyone can win.
