Hotel in Zurich Takes Guests to the Far East With Asian Food & Culture Festival

Now in its 20^th year, the hotel's Asian Food & Culture Festival (AFCF), hosted at its Zurich Asian restaurant, Asian Place, brings the culinary and cultural delights of the East to visitors from 7 November through 13 December 2013. During the festival, guests will "travel" to Japan, China, Thailand and India, with a special focus on Vietnam for this year's event. The festival draws thousands of visitors each year, not only with delicious food but impressive shows, daring acrobatics and vibrant traditional clothing.

The food is at the center of the festival, and Asian Place has created a selection that visits countries across the region. From China, dine on dim sum, vegetable spring rolls, sweet and sour pork and roasted duck with spices. From India, tempt tastebuds with Andhra-style lamb, baingan bharta, butter chicken, Kerala prawns and papadum. Specialties from Japan include sushi and sashimi, seaweed salad, yakiton chicken, grilled sea bass with Kikkoman and yakitsoba noodles. Tastes from Thailand include spicy grilled beef salad, Phuket-style minced chicken, deep-fried shrimp cake and Massaman curry with beef.

Those wanting to experience the festival can take advantage of a special offer at this Zurich hotel. The Festival Package includes a variation of five different country-specific buffets, live cooking stations, a large dessert buffet, welcome drink, selection of soft drinks, tea, coffee and free parking.
