Houlihan Capital Advises American Industrial Plastics on Its Sale to Fenner PLC

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Oct 10, 2012) -  Houlihan Capital, a leading valuation, financial advisory and boutique investment banking firm, advised the shareholders of American Industrial Plastics, Inc. ("AIP") on the sale of AIP to Fenner PLC's Houston based Fenner Advanced Sealing Technologies (FAST) group. Terms were not disclosed. Joe Lunkes, Managing Director, was responsible for the client engagement.

AIP, located in Daytona Beach, Florida, manufactures complex and difficult-to-machine components out of high-performance, polymer-based materials. The company specializes in developing customer concepts into manufacturable parts. Key customer segments include the medical device and implant markets, and the oil & gas, aerospace and defense industries. More information on AIP is available at www.aipdaytona.com.

FAST, home of CDI Energy Products and EGC Critical Components, is a leading manufacturer of plastic and elastomeric components. Leveraging over 50 years of manufacturing and materials expertise, FAST develops custom engineered materials and designs for critical components and applications. Information is available at www.CDIproducts.com and www.EGCcomponents.com.

"While Joe was extremely knowledgeable about the plastics and CNC machining industries, his most valuable expertise was his ability to present our privately held business to the market and counsel owners through the sale process," explained George Willis, President and significant shareholder. "Joe epitomizes what a trusted M&A advisor should be; he helped us establish our financial, personal and corporate objectives and then worked very hard to help us realize them."

"George, Greg, Rob, and the entire AIP team, are the global leader in machining precision plastic parts. I enjoyed becoming part of their team and helping the shareholders achieve their personal objectives while transitioning ownership of AIP to FAST, who will continue to foster AIP's industry leading capabilities," said Joe Lunkes.
