HouseRaising Commits to Regional Sales and Construction Centers in Gulf Coast Area -- Initiates Contact With FEMA

CHARLOTTE, NC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 3, 2005 -- HouseRaising, Inc., (OTC BB: HRAI) ("HouseRaising" or the "Company") today announced plans to assist homeowners in the Gulf Coast area.

"We are pleased to announce our expansion into the Gulf Coast area," said Gregory Wessling, HouseRaising's Chairman and CEO. "Our initial plan is to contract the building of 75 homes, which will add approximately $30 million to our 2006 revenue projections, based on projects averaging $400,000 each. When we reach this number of Gulf Coast contracts, we will evaluate the area and increase our presence accordingly."

Mr. Wessling stated: "Many times during my 33-year tenure with Lowe's, the task of organizing and managing rebuilding efforts caused by natural disasters fell on my team. Considering the added benefit of our design/build management system, and our past experience in rebuilding efforts, we have confidence investing our money and time in this project."

Mr. Wessling stated: "I am pleased to report that HouseRaising's Board of Directors approved the allocation of funds needed to open a regional sales and construction center in three (3) Gulf Coast cities. Because of the magnitude of the rebuilding effort, we will create a new zone referred to as HouseRaising Zone II, the Gulf Coast Zone. We believe it possible to meet our company's financial projections and still meet homeowners' needs for quality homes at reasonable prices."

Bob McLemore, HouseRaising Founder and President, stated: "HouseRaising's intentions to begin construction operations in the Gulf Coast will be in addition to current plans to develop Zone I operation in North and South Carolina. Where possible, we will recruit staff from local Gulf Coast areas to be involved in the effort. However, prior to making a commitment to this complex undertaking, we developed production contracts with quality vendors and subcontractors in North and South Carolina willing and able to support our Gulf Coast building efforts."

In addition to construction efforts in 3-Gulf Coast locations, HouseRaising's board also approved an initiative to contact FEMA officials to offer the use of System C as a solution for organizing and managing projects constructed by other Gulf Coast builders. HouseRaising has plans to demonstrate System C to FEMA representatives as a viable option for use in organizing and implementing the rebuilding effort. As part of this effort, HouseRaising, Inc. registered in the "National Emergency Resource Registry" and the "US Government's Central Contractor Registry" as required for working with FEMA related projects.

About HouseRaising, Inc.:

HouseRaising is a gathering of people in a community to help one of its members build a house. HouseRaising's services begin while the idea of a unique home is still a dream in the customer's mind and continues through managing the building process.

What We Are:

Functioning exclusively in the custom homebuilding arena, HouseRaising, Inc. is a Managed Service Provider that is revolutionizing the way custom dream homes are designed and built by small homebuilders.

The Amish and other early Americans learned to depend on each other and work together to complete challenging projects like building a house. Those community efforts were led by a team leader, managing the project. However, in today's homebuilding environment, without the team leader, the building of a customer's dream home has become a complex undertaking that most homeowners describe as costly and unpleasant. Today, HouseRaising is that team leader -- operating as a 21st century company focused on recreating the proud tradition of organizing groups of experts to help customers design and build unique homes.

What We Do:

Performing the role of "General Manager," HouseRaising manages design and build projects with services that improve the quality of the home and the homebuilding experience. HouseRaising's architects design the homes with their expert estimators creating budgets and issuing purchase orders for the projects. Financial officers maintain job files noting all scheduling and payable issues. Depending on the design structure selected by the homeowners, HouseRaising's expert services and purchasing advantages can lower the home's total costs by up to 10%. In addition to providing experts to take part in the project, HouseRaising provides managed services to homebuyers, builders and vendors, turning complicated custom home and renovation projects into financially sound and fun endeavors.

How We Do It:

HouseRaising provides managed services to both the home buyer and the home builder. Because HouseRaising does not compete with custom homebuilders as a competitive builder, and because HouseRaising does not share in the builder's profits, the company's approach of linking builders, buyers and vendors into a single contract for services represents the interest of homebuyers, vendors and builders alike. Homebuyers who have selected a local builder as well as buyers who seek a quality builder to build their home can contract with HRI to manage the project for both of them.
