HouseRaising Hosts Open House at Its New Orleans Design Center

CHARLOTTE, NC and NEW ORLEANS, LA--(Marketwire - August 10, 2007) - HouseRaising, Inc. (OTCBB: HRAI), a managed service provider to the custom homebuilding industry, is hosting a Grand Opening of its Design Center from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, at 4030 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA.

The Grand Opening celebration will include music from local Treme Brass Band, food from Mid-City area restaurants and talks with local government officials. Area residents can explore the Design Center and learn about HouseRaising's unique system for building and renovating homes, and meet HouseRaising personnel, local vendors and suppliers who are affiliated with HouseRaising. Drawings will be held for door prizes provided by its suppliers, including ceiling fans, light fixtures, gas lights, paints and kitchen equipment.

Greg Wessling, chairman, president, and CEO of HouseRaising, said, "HouseRaising chose to base itself in New Orleans so that it could apply its System C construction management system to make the rebuilding process a more positive experience for the residents of this wonderful city who want to return and rebuild. We know that many of these homeowners are worried about unpredictable budgets and timelines. Many are now living far from their property and are unable to monitor progress on their homes. We believe our online management system can help them deal with these challenges."

Design Center General Manager Katonya Riley, a long time resident of New Orleans, is thrilled to welcome HouseRaising to her city. Ms. Riley stated, "HouseRaising addresses one of the key problems many New Orleans and Gulf Coast people are having since Katrina: making decisions about whether to renovate, rebuild, stay at their old home site, or move to another. HouseRaising is uniquely qualified and licensed to provide hard data and accurate estimates that assist with this difficult decision making."

HouseRaising's experts work with homebuyers visiting the Design Center to design their dream homes, or to make major renovations. In the facility, they can view, touch and compare samples of the products and materials in different price ranges that could be used in building their homes. The Design Center showcases everything from exterior walls and roofing to flooring and interior paints and cabinetry. With eight bathrooms and four kitchen displays, it is easy for homebuyers to see and experience the possibilities for their dream home.

HouseRaising then introduces the homebuyer to a builder-member. Currently, HouseRaising has builder partnerships with six qualified Gulf Coast builders from New Orleans, Baton Rouge, LA, and Gulfport, MS, each with offices in the Design Center.

HouseRaising, Inc. serves as general manager of projects, assisting its business relationship partners in every step of the custom homebuilding process from design and cost estimation to construction.
