HouseValues Partners With Scripps Networks, Owner of HGTV, The Food Network and Other Popular Consumer-Oriented Shows and Networks

Partnership Will Increase Consumer Access to HouseValues' Expanding Menu of Innovative Home-Buying and Selling Tools

KIRKLAND, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 4, 2006 -- In a move that will significantly expand consumers' access to comprehensive home-buying, selling and mortgage information nationwide, HouseValues Inc. (NASDAQ: SOLD) announced today that it has partnered with Scripps Networks, owner and operator of the popular consumer-oriented networks HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, FINE LIVING TV Network and Great American Country (GAC).

The partnership will provide HouseValues with a variety of program sponsorships and custom programming on several programs across Scripps' media properties, with special focus on several of the highly popular HGTV programs.

    prospective buyer and real estate agent through the home-buying process,
    from start to finish.
--  Sponsor "What You Get For Your Money," with each episode telling
    personal stories, investigating varied lifestyles and exploring communities
    while boldly answering the invasive question: "How much did that cost?"
--  Be a featured sponsor of the "Great Fall Fix-Up Sweepstakes."  Through
    this sponsorship, HouseValues will receive exposure over the Scripps
    Networks' national audience of almost 90 million households.
