HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - December 9, 2010) - Williams Kherkher Hart Boundas, LLP announced today that Houston attorney and philanthropist John Eddie Williams, Jr., his wife Sheridan and their family have once again donated $200,000 to the Houston Chronicle's Goodfellows Fund. Goodfellows has provided new toys for needy children ages 2 to 10 for nearly 100 years. Donations go towards the purchase of toys and other gifts for underprivileged children. Toys are distributed to over 100,000 children each holiday season.
This is the eighth year in a row that Mr. Williams, managing partner of Williams Kherkher, and his family have donated to the fund. This year's amount matches their 2008 and 2009 donations of $200,000, bringing their total donation over 8 years to over 1 million dollars.
