HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Aug 1, 2011) - Bay Area Gastroenterology consultants of Houston-Clear Lake welcome Dr. Naveen Surapaneni to the group, now making the center one of the most comprehensive gastroenterology and endoscopy centers in the area.

Dr. Surapaneni, renowned for his work in advanced endoscopic techniques for cancer staging, palliation and interventional endoscopy, is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy such as ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound.

Dr. Surapaneni holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Medical Degree from the Armed Forces Medical School. He completed his residency in internal medicine as well as a fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his second fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio.
