He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center - Houston and completed an internship and residency in General Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch - Galveston.

He is appointed clinical professor of surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston and was recently featured on Heartbeat of America for his work in the field of vascular disease.
