Houston Graphic Design Firm, Gateway Design, Assists McWhorter Gallery With Branding and New Logo

Logo to Be Unveiled at McWhorter Gallery on February 27

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - February 22, 2010) -  McWhorter Gallery has made several changes for the new year. Foremost among them, the gallery shortened its name (from Taft McWhorter Fine Art), moved to a new downtown location at 2219 Canal Street, which offers more wall space and parking and added to its roster of Houston's impressive contemporary artists.

Gallery owner Taft McWhorter and gallery director Lindsay Peyton are particularly excited about their new logo, which they will unveil at their next gallery exhibit on Saturday, February 27.

"We are thrilled about our new logo," Peyton said. "It just makes everything we do look more professional and reflects the quality our clients expect."

McWhorter Gallery turned to Gateway Design to create their new identity. The full-service company is a leading Houston graphic design firm specializing in branding and marketing.

"Gateway Design listened to what I wanted and created a logo that perfectly suited my personality," McWhorter said. "They took my ideas and sketches and combined them into one clean, crisp logo."

McWhorter Gallery will recognize Gateway Design president Connie Senter and her design team with a champagne toast on February 27. The unveiling will be followed by the gallery's exhibit, Black and White, featuring Matt Messinger. Several other artists will display their work, including Allan Rodewald, Roberto Del Rio, Kevin Peterson, Janet Wayte, Jane Dipaolo, Taft McWhorter and Lindsay Peyton. The public is invited to an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the gallery's 2119 Canal Street location.
