Houston Information Technology Managed Services, Outsourcing and Consulting Firm, DYONYX L.P., Announces Record Fourth Quarter Final and Corporate Expansion

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - March 15, 2011) - One of Houston's leading information technology outsourcing, managed service and consulting firms, DYONYX L.P., announces pivotal fourth quarter wins in 2010 within the federal government, commercial real estate, utility, energy and oil and gas sectors -- amounting to $16 million dollars in booked contracts.

The company also recently announced that it has been awarded a one-year contract in the United Kingdom -- providing complete outsourced managed services for a London based customer, who has operations throughout the United States.

When most companies were cutting costs at the dawn of the economic downturn18 months ago, the ownership of DYONYX made the strategic decision to invest heavily in the company and position itself to take full advantage of the markets as they recover. Among these investments was the expansion of the sales and marketing team adding six experienced technical sales professionals averaging over 15 years of industry experience and included the recent promotion of Brett Zagone to Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

The company also performed a complete remodel and significant expansion of their Managed Service offering that includes three, tier 4 data centers integrated through an MPLS network and virtual cloud infrastructure, hosting, its Network Operations Command Center (NOCC) and its ITIL aligned 24x7 service desk -- delivering scalable and easy access to a deep pool of virtual and physical computing resources.

And according to DYONYX Company President Chuck Orrico, one of the most exciting areas of expansion is within the company's Professional Services Division, which is headed by company Vice President and NERC CIP expert, Ron Blume, P.E.

Mr. Blume, author of a widely published and recently released white paper addressing the NERC CIP reliability standard requirements for nuclear electric utilities, is overseeing a number of new compliance-related projects within the electric utility, nuclear, energy and railway transportation sectors.

"Our Managed Services model has always provided our customers the ability to reduce their IT spend while increasing reliability and security, but these investments in our virtual computing platform and service desk operations brings further economy of scale allowing even greater cost savings and heightened availability," said Orrico.
