Houston Plastic Surgery Group Earns Prestigious Endorsement for Fellowship Program

Award-Winning Plastic Surgeons Share Keys to Success With Future Generations of Plastic Surgeons

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - April 01, 2015) - The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery (ACPS) based in Houston, Texas is pleased to announce the launch of an aesthetic plastic surgery fellowship program endorsed by the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). ACPS is one of twelve plastic surgery organizations in the nation to have the esteemed seal of approval for its fellowship -- a one-year program that provides graduates of plastic surgery residency programs with additional training in aesthetic face, body and breast surgery.

ASAPS is the leading professional organization of plastic surgeons certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery who specialize in cosmetic plastic surgery, with more than 2,600 members from the United States, Canada, as well as numerous other countries. ASAPS Director of Education Debi Toombs said, "Our goal would be that the endorsement of The Aesthetic Society would become known as a fellowship that is strong, well-rounded, and leaves the fellow with a good start in his or her career."

For Dr. Rolando Morales, who spearheaded the effort to establish an ASAPS-endorsed fellowship for ACPS, this goal was a natural fit for the practice. "With the group's long history as a strong practice and its commitment to education and safety, I had every confidence that we would get the approval for an ASAPS-endorsed fellowship. It was just a matter of time and persistence."

As the architect of the fellowship, Dr. Morales set out to design an experience that allows ambitious young plastic surgeons to fully capitalize on the benefits of working at the aesthetic surgery practice that Dr. Morales believes to be the "best in Houston by far and, arguably, the state." As part of the real-world curriculum, physicians chosen for the fellowship will observe all aspects of a successful private plastic surgery practice and receive invaluable one-on-one training and mentoring from the groups' surgeons.

"Drs. Patronella, Mentz, and Newall have so much to pass on from their experience," commented Morales. To give back to future generations is priceless to us. This fellowship will be our group's legacy."

Since it's founding in 1996, ACPS has grown to become one of the largest private aesthetic surgery practices in Texas under the visionary leadership of founding partners Drs. Christopher Patronella, Henry Mentz and German Newall. Three more plastic surgeons have since joined the group: Drs. Paul Fortes, Rolando Morales, and Kristi Hustak. Together the six perform more than 6,000 face, breast, and body aesthetic surgical procedures a year-a testament to the group's reputation for blending artistry with surgical precision, advanced technology and research in a caring environment. The group offers a broad spectrum of both aesthetic surgical and nonsurgical procedures for women and men. In addition to nonsurgical rejuvenation therapies, its two medical spas offer postsurgical massage therapy and skin care treatments and products.

ACPS has three office locations, including two in Houston and one in Katy, and a private surgical center that is certified by the American Association For Accreditation Of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities. For more information about ACPS, visit
