DETAILS:  Drawing from the real-life experience of an enterprise-wide,
          multi-million page conversion of records in the aircraft
          industry, Marc Baines of HOV Services, and Rafael Recinos of
          Boeing, will discuss best practices for tackling large-scale
          scanning and conversions and the factors that influenced Boeing's
          decision to outsource this initiative and the benefits and
          lessons learned. Attendees will learn the common pitfalls and
          high cost areas of document conversion and proven techniques to
          implement cost savings when preparing documents. The presenters
          will examine methods for coordinating imaging at multiple
          locations, including rules for setting up remote scanning sites.
          Issues regarding mixed paper forms (such as onion skin,
          transparent pages or colored pages), hybrid scanning (black
          & white and color mixed together) and barcode usage will also
          be discussed.
