Howard Geisler Joins Essence Digital as Global Client Partner

Media Veteran to Lead Agency's Relationship With Google

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Aug 16, 2012) - Essence Digital announced today that it has hired Howard Geisler as Google Global Client Partner. The appointment of the marketing and media veteran to spearhead the account reflects the scale and importance of Essence's relationship with Google. In this leadership role, he partners with Andrew Shebbeare, New York-based co-founder of Essence who has led the Google team for the last six years, and also Alastair Boyle, London-based Partner leading the Google EMEA engagement.

Based in New York City, Geisler is responsible for overseeing a team of talented digital media, social, and analytics experts. As Google's digital agency of record, Geisler and his team are charged with leading both strategy and operational delivery of cutting-edge digital marketing for Google's products and services, including the recent Google+, Google Play, Chrome, and Nexus campaigns.

An 18-year veteran of the advertising, marketing, and media industries, Geisler joins Essence Digital from Nokia, where as Director of Global Performance Marketing he was responsible for managing the company's agency relationships and accountable for marketing optimization activities across key global markets. Previously, he served as Managing Director at Wunderman/KBM in the UK, where he and his team created the digital strategy and data practice for Nokia. Prior to that, he was President of Digitas UK and spent seven years within the WPP Group based in the UK, Germany, and his native Canada.
