Howard S. Rosenblum Joins Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP as a Partner in Private Equity Group

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Jun 2, 2015) - Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP today announced that Howard S. Rosenblum, formerly Chair of the Fund Formation and Operations Practice at DLA Piper LLP and a partner in the firm's Corporate and Securities Group, has joined Choate as a Partner in its Private Equity Group. Rosenblum will continue to focus his practice on the formation of and investments by domestic and international private equity funds, and providing general representation to emerging growth companies.

Rosenblum has over 35 years of experience representing emerging growth companies and venture capital and private equity firms. He began his career at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP in 1979, where he spent 26 years working in the private equity arena. He started the firm's private equity practice focused on Israel in 1996, which he grew to become the dominant law firm representing Israeli VC and PE firms. He has been recognized as a leading practitioner in the fund formation and corporate areas in Chambers USA, Chambers Global, and The Legal 500.

On the private equity side, Rosenblum advises fund managers on a broad range of issues, including fundraising, capital formation, organizational structure, internal governance and operational issues, and structuring and implementation of portfolio transactions. His work with growth companies includes counseling in all aspects of operations, from start-up through public offerings and/or acquisitions, with particular emphasis on financing transactions, and covers a diverse range of businesses including software, retail, telecommunications, and Internet.
