Howard Schmidt Joins CyberUnited's Board

Former White House Cyber Security Coordinator Drawn to Company's Innovation in Scientific Based Insider Threat Security


SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 19, 2013) - CyberUnited, a leading insider threat security informatics company, today announced that former Cyber Security Coordinator to President Obama, Howard Schmidt, has joined CyberUnited's board of directors. As a board member, Schmidt will draw on more than 20 years of security experience, to support CyberUnited's innovative technology and potential among enterprises and government agencies.

Formerly Vice Chairman of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board, he is currently a principal at HAS Security. Prior to that he was president and CEO of the Information Security Forum (ISF); served as international president of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA); and Director of Computer Crime and Information Warfare for AFOSI.

Schmidt joins CyberUnited's three other distinguished board members: Life Sciences expert, Malcolm Bohm; Patricia Titus, former Symantec CISO; Dr. Todd Peterson, vice president of Synthetic Biology R&D at Life Technologies; and Brent Wrisley, CEO of PUNCHCyber.
