HR Industry Luminaries Announced as Judges of the U.K. Candidate Experience Awards

Stellar Panel of Judges to Evaluate Companies That Demonstrate Excellence in Candidate Experience

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Feb 12, 2014) - The Candidate Experience Awards, a non-profit organisation focused on facilitating the evolution of the employment candidate experience, today announced the judges of the second annual U.K. Candidate Experience (CandE) Awards. The judges will determine which participating companies will be awarded "With Distinction" designations, showcasing those that demonstrate exemplary candidate experience processes and practices. The judges include: Bill Boorman, recruiting expert and founder of #Tru Events; Belinda Johnson, owner of Worklab; and Alan Whitford, managing partner of Abtech Partnership.

The CandE Awards recognise those companies that set a high standard for candidate experience and provide benchmarking data to all participating organisations to help them improve their talent acquisition processes. Now in its second year, the U.K. programme is open to organisations that recruit in the British employment market, and consists of three survey rounds, each of which is designed to evaluate the company's corporate applicant process and how it treats those candidates who apply. Those who meet criteria for a positive candidate experience in rounds one and two are honoured as CandE Award winners. Companies who meet a high standard of candidate experience excellence are invited to participate in the final judging round, where they are interviewed and evaluated by the industry luminaries for areas of distinction.

"In recent years, companies of all sizes and across all industries have made great strides in improving the candidate experience they deliver to their job applicants," said Leigh Carpenter, U.K. programme director and Talent Board member. "To help identify the organisations that truly represent the best in candidate experience, we have assembled a panel of experts and thought leaders well versed in all aspects of human resource management and recruitment. As these judges fully understand the components of a positive and rewarding application process, we are confident that they will be able to identify excellence in candidate experience and help all participating organisations understand the best practices that will lead to improvement."

U.K.-based "With Distinction" honourees will be celebrated, along with all CandE Awards winners, at a special ceremony to be held at The Brewery in London on Tuesday, 25 February, 2014. For additional details, please visit: http://uk.thecandidateexperienceawards.org.
