HORSHAM, PA--(Marketwire - January 5, 2010) - World-class HR thought leaders have accepted invitations to present and moderate the seven executive-level sessions at the Human Resource Executive Forum®, the newest part of the 8th Annual HR Week™. Taking place at the Hilton New York, April 12-14, 2010, the Forum provides an intimate venue for senior HR professionals to exchange practices and insights in disciplines including: HR Leadership, HR Technology, Talent Management, Recruiting, Benefits, and Workforce Planning/Analytics.

Moderators at the event include Dr. Peter Cappelli, the George W. Taylor Professor of Management and Director of the Center for Human Resource Management at The Wharton School. In "Fit for the Future: New Skills and Competencies You'll Need To Be an Effective HR Leader," Dr. Cappelli, a noted authority on talent management, will lead a discussion among Michael Peel, Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at Yale University; Laurie Siegel, Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Internal Communications at Tyco International; and Elease E. Wright, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Aetna.

"The panel will help us understand what new competencies are required now in human resources, based on trends that have been underway for awhile, such as the increased pressure for accountability on costs and benefits as well as new demands that have been triggered by the downturn, such as being more responsive to changing conditions," said Dr. Cappelli.

Across the seven sessions, attendees will hear from nationally known experts and executives from IBM, Comcast, Gap, CIGNA, Hilton Worldwide, Capital One, Oracle, Hewlett-Packard and other elite organizations. Senior HR professionals will also have many chances to network with colleagues and the distinguished presenters during exclusive receptions and lunches.

HR Week™ will also showcase the expanded HR & EEO in the Federal Workplace™ Conference and the HR Week™ Expo, packed with leading vendors offering innovative advice, products and services to help HR departments navigate post-recession initiatives.

The complete HR Week™ agenda is available, and registration is open for this premier HR professional development experience. A variety of registration options are offered, including discounts for teams. Visit for Pre-Early Bird savings offers and more details.
