Humanist Canada Supports Quebec Charter

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 5, 2014) -

The Humanist Canada Board of Directors has given its unanimous support to the proposed Quebec Charter of Values. The charter promotes state secularism and religious neutrality as well as gender equality and a framework for responding to accommodation requests.

On March 13, 2014, the Board of Humanist Canada voted to publicly support this important legislation to foster secular ideals in Canada. Quebec is showing leadership with this initiative as we evolve into a more secular and humanist country.
