"Hunger Games" Actor Featured in Groundbreaking Audience Driven Web Series

CANTON, OH--(Marketwired - October 27, 2014) - Hollywood actor Bruno Gunn (imdb.me/bruno) has added some star power to StoneKap, LLC's community collaborated web series Rotor DR1. Known for his work on Guiding Light, Bad Teacher, and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Gunn discovered the Rotor DR1 project while in Ohio for the Canton Film Festival.

"I saw their concept trailer, and thought it was an interesting story. But what really got me excited was the community collaboration," Gunn said. "It's such a unique approach to filmmaking, and I'm thrilled to be part of something so groundbreaking."

Chad Kapper, Director and Executive Producer for Rotor DR1, was equally thrilled to add the Canton native Gunn to the largely Ohio-based cast, and immediately asked the global Rotor DR1 community for input on a new character.

"Once we heard Bruno was interested, we let our audience decide what role he should play in our story and what the character's name should be," Kapper said. "We asked our virtual community on Facebook what they thought, and Jax was born."

While much of Jax's character is built around ideas from the Rotor DR1 global virtual community, Gunn played a large part in developing the character further, shaping both his personality and his backstory. The end result was a multidimensional character that drives the story forward.

"Jax brings so much to our story, and Bruno's performance makes it that much better," said Megan Ryberg, one of the writers on Rotor DR1. "There's great tension in the interactions between Jax and the other characters, and that helps give emotional depth to our story."

Gunn has a multiple episode arc, and made his first appearance in Episode 2. The first three episodes of Rotor DR1 can be seen at www.youtube.com/rotordr1. To learn more and contribute, visit www.rotordr1.com and www.facebook.com/rotordr1.
