Huys Condominium in NoMad Neighborhood Now 80% Sold

Kroonenberg Groep Assembles High-Profile Dutch Design Team Including Piet Boon and Piet Oudolf to Collaborate on New York Luxury Building

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Sep 9, 2013) - Netherlands-based real estate developer Kroonenberg Groep has announced that Huys, the company's 58-unit, luxury condominium development on Park Avenue in Manhattan, is now 80% sold. Kroonenberg Groep is a successful developer of commercial and residential real estate in the Netherlands with a portfolio worth $2.6 billion. Huys is the first U.S. building the company is developing completely itself and sales started earlier this year. The exceptional response Huys (pronounced 'house') has received from buyers, demonstrates Kroonenberg Groep's success in bringing to market a truly unique residential property and leveraging growing interest in New York's newest neighborhood NoMad.

Kroonenberg Groep has assembled a design team consisting of high-profile Dutch names to collaborate on the building, including celebrated interior designer and craftsman Piet Boon and landscape architect Piet Oudolf, renowned for his work on The High Line and Battery Park. A recently completed two-bedroom model residence has just been unveiled at Huys and is now available to view by appointment. In the model, prospective buyers will be able to experience firsthand Boon's artisan approach to crafting and styling the interiors. Images of the new model unit are also on view at

An exhibition space dedicated to showcasing the various Dutch design elements featured at Huys is also located inside the building's ground floor sales office. Taking up a sizable area of the first floor's corner, the space rotates exhibits regularly and currently features 'Bespoke for Huys,' which highlights an exquisite leather dining banquette Boon has created for each condominium.

Huys is a 1917, neo-classical building that is currently being transformed into 58 luxury condominiums that incorporate modern, Dutch inspired elements throughout its interiors, finishes and overall design. Huys derives its name from Stadt Huys, the old Dutch spelling for City Hall and the building is located at 404 Park Avenue South near 28th Street in the Nomad neighborhood.

Over the last decade NoMad -- the area north of Madison Square Park up to 30th Street and between Lexington and Sixth Avenue -- has become the destination of choice for many buyers of high-end homes. Centrally located in Manhattan, the district features stunning residential buildings, celebrated restaurants like 11 Madison and popular hotels like The NoMad, Ace, and Gansevoort.
