Hyatt Invites Gold Passport® Members to Convert Points Into Cash Donations to Support the American Red Cross Relief Efforts of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita

Hyatt Partners With American Red Cross to Provide Necessities to Innocent Victims of Hurricane Disasters

CHICAGO, IL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 3, 2005 -- Their losses are immeasurable, but, for the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, life must go on. Helping ease their recovery from devastation, Hyatt and the American Red Cross are partnering to provide much needed cash donations. Hyatt's Gold Passport members can now convert points from stays at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts around the world into cash donations for the American Red Cross' Hurricanes Katrina and Rita relief efforts. Through December 31, 2005 Hyatt Gold Passport members may convert 5,000-point increments into $40 cash donations. The money will be sent to the American Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need following the recent hurricanes.

There is a required minimum donation of $40 or 5,000 points. However, there is no maximum limit to the amount of points/cash that Gold Passport members can donate.

Donations can be made two ways:

   -- Name
   -- Address
   -- Gold Passport account number
   -- Number of points, in 5,000-point increments, to be converted
-- Call Gold Passport Customer Service at 1-800-223-3360 and ask to support
   the Hyatt Gold Passport Hurricanes Katrina and Rita relief effort
