(www.paratransit.org), will be unveiling their fleet of all lithium PT Cruisers to the general public at a gala event set to be held in Sacramento, CA on February 15th, 2007

Paratransit, Inc., a nonprofit public benefit corporation that provides transportation services for elderly, disabled people, and the general public, in conjunction with Hybrid Technologies, Inc., one of America's leading automotive corporations focused in the development and marketing of lithium powered products worldwide, are pleased to announce that they have entered into a joint venture agreement to determine the utility of lithium powered vehicles produced by Hybrid Technologies for taxicabs and vehicles that are fully accessible to disabled passengers.

A media event and demonstration of the vehicles will be held for the media: Thursday February 15, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. in front of the offices of the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) at 1415 L Street.

Statements will be made by regional elected officials including Sacramento's Mayor Heather Fargo. California's Constitutional Officers have been invited as well.

Initially, Paratransit will operate the vehicles in the North Natomas area in partnership with the North Natomas Transportation Management Association.
