Hybrid Technologies' Lithium System Attracts Influential Military Unit, Hybrid Formally Announces Expansion Into Military Contracts and Creation of A Military Division

WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 16, 2006) - Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:HYBT) (www.hybridtechnologies.com), emerging leaders in the development and marketing of lithium powered products worldwide, are proud to announce that, pursuant to a key military visit to Hybrid's Advanced Projects Division, housed in Mooresville NC, The United States Military (Special Operations) and Hybrid Technologies collaborated to produce a high output, all lithium reconnaissance vehicle (CERV).

The vehicle, based on Hybrid's original assault/recon vehicle, will be produced for advanced operations testing & command review. Hybrid Technologies has scheduled initial unit delivery for week two of December, 2006.

Specific details of the vehicle, such as top speed, range and other performance characteristics, will remain privileged; however, the vehicle will be produced using the latest of Hybrid's innovative and groundbreaking algorithms, battery management system, motor propulsion, and mechanical adaptations.

Holly Roseberry, President of Hybrid Technologies, states: "Hybrid's being at the forefront of lithium propulsion systems enables us to develop vehicles for the military with technology previously unavailable. We are also developing autonomous 'unmanned' vehicles, which is a key area of interest for the U.S. Military. We take this technological responsibility seriously; therefore, we have established a Military Technologies Division to meet the demands of this sector."

All units will be produced at the Mooresville, NC plant and will be built under the guidelines of U.S. Military specifications for private sector contract.
