Hydro One Brampton Recognizes Business Customers at the 9th Annual C&I Breakfast

Marc Villett, Vice President of Finance and Administration at Hydro One Brampton kicked off the event and welcomed business leaders to the 9th Annual Commercial & Industrial Information Breakfast on Wednesday, April 16th. The information breakfast provided business customers with updates on the current electricity market from IESO, firsthand business energy conservation testimonials from their peers and the latest program updates from Hydro One Brampton.

The main focus of the event was to recognize Hydro One Brampton's Partners in Power Reduction for their achievements in reducing their electrical consumption, increasing their energy efficiency, and their overall commitment and contribution to the environment. The list of over 100 business customers who received the recognition is posted on Hydro One Brampton's website and will be posted in the May issue of the Business Times.

A tradeshow following the award presentations allowed customers to visit energy solution providers who work with companies to optimize their energy usage specifically through Ontario Power Authority's saveONenergy programs. "Over 42% of our customers are telling us that they anticipate a 5% change in electricity consumption due to implementing electricity conservation measures. These events provide practical information to those in charge of operations and facilities management. They can implement these smart energy solutions to reduce their costs," said Scott Miller, Director of Regulatory Affairs & Communications.

Hydro One Brampton's Energy Advisors work closely with its business customers walking them through the application process and incentive programs that the OPA offers. The company is dedicated to helping its business customers save energy and to date, Hydro One Brampton has assisted over 400 business customers achieve significant financial and energy savings through these programs.

These assessments could uncover a multitude of areas in energy efficiency improvement within their manufacturing and industrial facilities that could amount to significant energy and dollar savings.
