Hydro One strike: Kingston, Nanticoke, Sarnia

Attention: Assignment Editor, Business/Financial Editor, Energy Editor, News Editor, Tech/Telecomm Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 29, 2005) - Following an injunction ruling that affirmed their right to freedom of expression, striking Hydro One energy professionals will picket at a number of special locations today.

Energy professionals employed by Hydro One have been on strike since June 1st, fighting Hydro One's unfair demands for a two-tier wage and benefit schedule that discriminates against younger professionals, and an effective 11 per cent cut in wages for most employees.

WHEN: 5:00 a.m. on, Wednesday, June 29th

WHERE: Nanticoke Generating Station (Hwy 6 south from Hamilton to Regional Road 55 in Haldimand, then south to the shore of Lake Erie

Lambton Generating Station (OPG): from Sarnia or Hwy 402, take Regional Road 33 along the St. Clair River south past Corunna.

Lennox Generating Station (OPG), from Napanee take Regional Road 8 south to Regional Road 21, Regional Road 21 south to Hwy 33, left on Hwy 33 and follow transmission lines to plant
