I Dig Brand Goes Buggy!

Action Products Announces New Series in I Dig Brand

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - July 13, 2007) - They're creepy. They're crawly. They're the newest series of I Dig Excavation Adventure's excavation kits... BUGS! Young entomologists are set for discovery with the new I Dig Bugs™ series of excavation kits that will be released in early fall from Action Products International, Inc. (NASDAQ: APII), a leading toy company.

Using their imagination and the guidelines contained in the kits, children will learn about insect life and be able to study, close-up, the fascinating details of several species.

"With the bug series, we are moving to an exciting new theme, one that kids absolutely go crazy for -- bugs," said Richard Malagodi, president and chief operating officer of Action Products International, Inc. "And real bugs are embedded in these digs, adding a realistic and educational experience."

Three new kits will debut this bug series. In the I Dig Bugs Beetle's Nest Excavation™ kit, children dig into an insect mound to find a variety of beetles including a genuine preserved beetle in an acrylic amulet. Similarly, in the insect mound of I Dig Bugs Scorpion's Nest Excavation™ young scientists will find various scorpions including one authentic scorpion perfectly preserved and embedded in acrylic. In the third kit in this line, the I Dig Bugs Amber Fossil Excavation® kit, excavators will find a deep orange replica amber with an actual bee inside.

Each of three kits includes authentic steel tools and goggles and a black necklace cord that children can string through the acrylic charm to show off their preserved bugs.

Four additional I Dig Excavation Adventures will be available this fall, including the first product of another new series, I Dig Rock Hunter Excavation™. Children will chisel away at this cave-shaped sand block and discover three different rocks and an arrowhead replica. Just for fun, a faded claim certificate makes the whole expedition official.

In the popular dinosaur series, the new I Dig T-Rex Fossil Excavation™ and I Dig Velociraptor Fossil Excavation™ allows children to uncover pieces of a replica stone slab where fossilized remains of either a T-Rex or a Velociraptor are embedded. After digging, children may assemble the pieces and display their finds on a unique "rock face" stand, which has a name space to identify the proud fossil hunter.

The final new Dig for the fall release is I Dig Dino Nest Excavation™. Nested inside this kit are three huge dinosaur eggs for three separate digs, each with a different dinosaur inside. Dig them out and then paint all three with the included brush and paints. Perfect for one child, or for two to three children to each take a turn at excavation.

One of Action's top performers, I Dig Excavation Adventures recently received Dr. Toy's Best Product Award for the I Dig Prehistoric Shark Adventure.
