i2Telecom International Appoints Mr. Andy Cooper to Their Advisory Board

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - January 7, 2008) - i2Telecom International, Inc. ("i2Telecom®") (OTCBB: ITUI), a developer of its own proprietary high-quality Voice-over-Internet Protocol ("VoIP") products and services, today announced that Mr. Andy Cooper has joined the Company's Advisory Board. Mr. Cooper, who has extensive senior level executive, operational, and strategic experience, will advise i2Telecom on its efforts to maximize the value of the Company's intellectual property through licensing agreements and the roll-out of its new telecommunications offerings.

Mr. Cooper has more than twenty years of experience in venture management, venture investing and investment banking. In the last ten years, Mr. Cooper founded three start-up companies, the most recent one being Brand Asset Digital where he is founder and Executive Chairman. Brand Asset Digital is a pioneer in digital media marketing and distribution via file trading systems and the Web.

Mr. Cooper has served in the following roles:

--  From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Cooper was founder, co-CEO and director of
    Unison Site Management, a leading cellular site owner and manager with more
    than 1,500 cell-site leases and more than $18 million in annual cash flow.
    Unison recently entered into a portfolio financing agreement with Goldman
    Sachs Global Infrastructure Partners I.
--  Mr. Cooper also co-founded Avesta Technologies, an enterprise,
    information and technology management software company, where he was chief
    financial officer and Vice President of business development and channel
    sales.  In 2000, Visual Networks bought Avesta.
--  Mr. Cooper served as managing director with The Carlyle Group, focused
    on North American venture investments, and was with Morgan Stanley &
    Company for fourteen years, most recently as a principal of Morgan Stanley
    Venture Partners. At Morgan Stanley he focused on late-stage venture
    investments, consolidations and buy-outs. Mr. Cooper was the lead partner
    and a director of CSG Systems, Protection One Alarm, LionBridge
    Technologies, and Weblink Wireless, among others.  Before joining the
    venture group at Morgan Stanley, he worked in the company's Debt Capital
    Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions divisions in New York and Tokyo.

Mr. Cooper is on the board of the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club of New York. He earned a B.A. from Duke University.
