IABC/DC Metro Honors Top Business Communicators at Silver Inkwell Awards Gala

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Nov 30, 2011) - The International Association of Business Communicators' (IABC) DC/Metro chapter honored the area's top business communicators at its 2011 Silver Inkwell Awards gala on November 28 at the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda, MD. IABC/DC Metro's prestigious Silver Inkwell competition recognizes excellence and leadership in the field of business communication.

"The Silver Inkwell awards are a chance to recognize the outstanding campaigns from some of the top communicators in the greater Washington, D.C., area," said Angelo Ioffreda, IABC/DC Metro president. "The quality of entries we received is testament to the high level of expertise and skill of the business communicators in our area."

Veteran ABC7/WJLA-TV reporter and Maryland Bureau Chief Greta Kreuz entertained the audience and honored each of this year's winners as the event Emcee.

This year's Award of Excellence honorees included: Washington Hospital Center, CRT/tanaka, Network Solutions, Johns Hopkins Medicine Marketing & Communications and Ruder Finn. Award of Merit honorees included: National Cancer Institute and Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, Lipman Hearne, Vincent Roa Group, LLC and Sage Communications, LLC, Enterprise Community Partners and Enterprise Community Investment, ICF International, The MITRE Corporation, Goodwill Industries International, Inc., John Forrest Ales and MCR Federal, LLC.
